I just took a couple of days vacation to Squam Lake.  Beautiful scenery.  Very restful.

As I looked out on the lake it occurred to me that one of the best decisions I ever made was to decide to
occasionally be uncynical.

It's easy to look at life with a jaded eye.  It may even be correct to protect yourself from life's indignities.

But, every so often, it is nice to just appreciate things at face value, to not scoff and to just enjoy.
